Abstract
|
|
|
A case of hereditary spherocytosis, which has been experienced in a three years old Korean boy at Holly House Hospital, was presented.
This blood disorder was uncommon among Korean children, and reported several cases by Son(^1)), Cho(^2)), Kim(^3)) and Hong(^4)) in this country.
This case had visited the episode of vomiting, general weakness, anemie, jaundice, splenomegaly and showed peropheral blood smer findings-which was characterized by marked spherocytosis, hypochromia, microcytosis and polychromatophilia.
Threetimes of blood transfusion had improved his general condition and peropheral findings, spenectomy was postphoned until next hemlolytic crisis.
